We are located within the Wholehealth Pharmacy building at 17 Gatacre St in Ladysmith. Please enter through the pharmacy entrance and then walk down the hallway on your right. Wheelchair access is available at the rear of the building. Please advise us prior to your appointment if this access is needed. The main entrance has two steps.

Clinic Dog: There is often a calm dog on site. Please communicate prior to booking if this is a barrier for you.

Parking: There is free 2 hour parking on the streets surrounding the building.

Waitlist: Can’t find a time that works for you? Please add yourself to the waitlist by clicking the link located below appointment options.

Direct billing: Billing to Pacific Blue Cross available. We do not direct bill any other extended health care plans or MSP at this time. A receipt will be emailed at the time of your appointment.

ICBC & WCB: Currently not able to accommodate open ICBC or WCB/WSBC claims.

The clinic has the following Communicable Disease Prevention Plan

Cancellations within 24 hours must be done through direct contact with the clinic. The cancellation policy will apply.

ATTENTION 7:30 AM APPOINTMENTS: If your appointment starts before 8:30 AM, please enter from the rear of the building. You will need to knock to be let in. 7:30 AM patients may use the middle parking spot if available, please make sure to pull all the way forward. Thank-you.

Monica Helfer, Registered Massage Therapist

Monica is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s 3000hr program in New Westminster, B.C., is licensed through the College of Complementary Healthcare Professionals of BC and is a member of the Massage Therapy Association of British Columbia. She began her career in the greater Vancouver area during which time she had the opportunity to treat in a variety of outpatient, clinical, and event settings. After transplanting to Vancouver Island, Monica spent three years practicing in Cedar, BC and in 2023 embarked on opening and operating her own studio clinic in Ladysmith, BC.

Monica has worked with conditions ranging from Low Back pain and injury, Headaches, Stress and anxiety, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Repetitive Overuse/Strain injuries, Arthritis, TMJ dysfunction, Acute and Chronic pain, Pregnancy, and more.

Appointments begin with a conversation to clarify and collaborate on your treatment goals. Relevant physical assessment, hands on techniques and homecare guidance are then used to assist you in safely working towards your goals. Monica uses a blend of techniques to provide treatments that are typically restorative and calming in nature which may support your bodies natural healing processes.

Outside of the clinic Monica enjoys being outdoors in this wonderful place we call home, listening to audiobooks, digging in the dirt, and playing with her dogs. She welcomes you to her practice and looks forward to supporting your movement towards a greater sense of wellness.
